LSSI Key Contacts & Governance Groups

LSSI is led by Director, Professor Louise Waite, who is supported by three Deputy Directors; Dr Sahla Aroussi, Dr Kate Pangbourne and Professor Gehan Selim. Louise, Sahla, Kate and Gehan are located in different Faculties of the University, which facilitates our aim of strengthening collaborative and interdisciplinary research across the University of Leeds.

Alison Lundbeck is LSSI's Research and Innovation Development Manager; Alison helps bring together different disciplinary expertise to address complex research problems. Cheryl Harris is LSSI's Manager. In this role, Cheryl manages the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account, as well as overseeing all activities and operations of LSSI. Supporting Cheryl and the rest of the team is LSSI's Communications and Graduate Co-ordinator Natalie Jackson.
Natalie's role involves promoting the work of LSSI and supporting the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership.

Professor Edward Newman is a member of LSSI's Executive Team. Edward is the University’s Academic Lead for the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership, and also Head of the Graduate School in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
