Elliot Payne

I am the Support Officer for LSSI, and I play a key role in supporting the delivery of activities and workshops within LSSI and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA).  My responsibilities also involve providing assistance for the IAA events, and working closely with the Faculty of Environment Research & Innovation Office.  I contribute to the smooth execution of these initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation.

I am a recent graduate in Mathematics and a keen athlete who leverages my previous experience in event management as Head Organiser for the largest multidisciplinary university climbing competition in the UK to help me to deliver impactful support to the LSSI Team.  Central to my work ethic is a dedication to simplicity and efficacy.  Rooted in values of transparency, communication, and delivering tangible value, I prioritise a straightforward and direct approach, cultivating open channels of communication.  This strategy builds trust and steers my actions toward genuine impact.

My previous studies, alongside a core of mathematics specialising in fractal geometry, includes a breadth of interdisciplinary study at the intersection between health science, education and ethics. I am excited to work in such an interdisciplinary space once again.
