Professor Gehan Selim awarded Advance HE Senior Fellowship

We are thrilled to announce that our colleague, Professor Gehan Selim, has been awarded the prestigious AdvanceHE Senior Fellowship. This honour is given to professionals who meet the rigorous criteria of Descriptor 3 (D3) of the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) 2023 for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.

Gehan is Deputy Director of Leeds Social Sciences Institute, and Hoffman Wood Professor of Architecture, in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds.

To earn this recognition, Gehan demonstrated a sustained record of leading or influencing the practice of those who teach and support high-quality learning (D3.1), effective and inclusive practice that integrates all Dimensions (D3.2), and practice that extends significantly beyond direct teaching and support for learning (D3.3).

This award highlights Gehan's comprehensive understanding and effective practice, which serve as a foundation for leading and influencing the learning and teaching practices of peers, colleagues, and mentees. Congratulations, Gehan, on this well-deserved achievement!
