Call for abstracts: Co-production methodologies: Opportunities and challenges

Date

The Leeds Social Sciences Institute (LSSI) Co-Production Network and the Social Research Methods Centre (SRMC) are convening a joint research seminar on co-production methodologies and are now inviting abstracts from potential participants interested in giving a short (15 minute) presentation on their co-production experiences.

University of Leeds researchers, at any of stage of their career, are encouraged to share their experiences of developing and deploying co-production methods and to highlight in particular the opportunities and challenges that they have experienced using these approaches. LSSI welcomes abstracts relating to:

  • The differences between co-production and participatory research methods: understanding what is and isn’t co-production.
  • The benefits of using co-production methods and when it is applicable.
  • How to know if co-production methods are the right choice for your research.
  • Co-production ethics and safeguarding.

The seminar will take place in Helix, EC Stoner building, University of Leeds, between 11am and 2pm on Tuesday 15th October

The event will comprise two one-hour blocks of 15 minute methodologically focused presentations with discussion time. The one-hour networking lunch between the two sessions will provide opportunities for researchers across the University to connect and further explore methodological synergies and differences.

If you would like to share your experiences of co-production, please send a short 250 word max abstract that provides an outline of your presentation to lssi@leeds.ac.uk by Friday 6th September.

The convening panel will select six papers for presentation on the day based on the fit to the call and balance of input.
