The University of Leeds and Leeds City Council are collaborating to bring research expertise together with the real-world issues facing the city. These collaborations have so far taken different forms, from evaluating policy, designing interventions, to co-creating research between academics and partner organisations or individual citizens.

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be available from 12:30. The workshop will start at 1pm. The workshop will explore potential collaborations around the theme of Place. It will be an opportunity to identify and co-create Areas of Research Interest for Leeds City Council. We invite staff from UoL, LCC and city partner organisations to attend.

During the day we will break into smaller groups to discuss the following sub-themes. We welcome suggestions for alternative sub-themes from participants. Please contact the organiser to propose a subtheme related to your area of experience.

1. Place and connected communities

2. Place and innovation

3. Place and inclusive growth
