This is free training, provided by ‘Research Retold’ for the Leeds Social Sciences Institute. Registration is open to researchers (incl. early career) from across the Social Sciences at Leeds.

'The key to making your research understood is to speak plainly and to adopt a targeted approach to dissemination in short and accessible formats.’ – Mihaela Gruia, Director, Research Retold.

This workshop will draw on Research Retold's experience of working with researchers across 10 UK universities to create visual and accessible summaries, presented at high-profile forums to governments, the private sector and global institutions. The workshop aims to create an easy framework to support you to effectively communicate research beyond academia and produce your own 2-page visual summary of your findings. All workshop materials will be provided and all participants will receive a copy of Research Retold's ‘Guide to Communicating Research Beyond Academia'. This will be an interactive workshop so come prepared to engage and participate.

Places are limited to 30.
