LSSI 'Engaging Policy' Workshop
- Date
- Thursday 16 May 2019
Leeds Social Science Institute (LSSI) aims to maximise research impact and support interdisciplinary social science research at Leeds. One of the focus areas associated with our new ESRC Impact Acceleration Account is Policy Engagement - our aim is to support the connection of high quality social science research taking place inside the University, with the individuals and groups who can utilise the research to create real-world impact.
This one-day workshop aims to bring together current researchers at Leeds (notably but not exclusively social scientists) with the wider policy community to focus on routes into engaging with policy.
Event Objectives -
- To involve the local and national policy community in discussion around how to align research in order to best inform policy
- To raise awareness amongst Leeds researchers about opportunities to influence policy
