This seminar is part of the 'Linking Leeds' seminar series; developed in collaboration with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), in order to help foster richer connections between the academic and policy worlds.

The Linking Leeds seminar series provides opportunities to hear from both leading Social Scientists at the University of Leeds as well as prominent analysts, strategists and policy makers from the Department for Work and Pensions.

The speakers at this event will be:

  • Emilio Carnevali (Postgraduate Researcher, Leeds University Business School), on the topic of 'A study of the PIP (Personal Independence Payment)'
  • Dr Mark Monaghan (Department of Social Policy, Sociology and Criminology, University of Birmingham) & Professor Jo Ingold (Professor of Human Resource Management and Public Policy, Leeds University Business School), on the topic of 'Universal Credit'.

The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
