The Department for Transport and the Leeds Social Sciences Institute have launched the new Linking Leeds with DfT Webinar series

Why you don’t want to miss this talk

As the climate crisis looms largely behind the cost of living crisis, there is a need to take a people-centred approach to ensure a just transition.

  • Our guest speakers will present approaches for understanding people’s different starting points, and their readiness to participate in the transition to net Zero
  • We will discuss some initial findings from research in low-income communities that can inform DfT policy to help vulnerable households engage in Net Zero

Why this event?

This webinar series aims to build a richer connection between the academic and policy worlds.

Speakers: Lucie Middlemiss, Professor of Environment and Society, University of Leeds and Dr Carolyn Snell, Reader in Social Policy, University of York.

The session will be facilitated by Jo Bacon and Donatella D’Antoni from the DfT Behavioural Science team.
