Socially Inclusive Cities workshop

Date
Date
Tuesday 5 September 2017

The second national workshop for the Socially Inclusive Cities will explore policy and practice strategies to support the inclusion of minority ethnic and religious groups in health, education, local government and police services.

It is hoped that there will be speakers from Public Health England, Development Education Centre, Touchstone, Arakan Rohingya Organisation UK, York Human Rights City and other relevant institutions.

The event will also present evidence from a global review of literature on this topic carried out by a research team at Leeds.

An expert panel drawn from organisations working closely with minority ethnic and religious groups will give feedback on the various strategies presented. Workshop participants will discuss underlying theories, methods and collaborations that inform these strategies and any research gaps that still need to be addressed.
