Networking for Global Justice
- Date
- Wednesday 15 November 2017
Inequalities research within the University covers diverse population groups and areas of lived experience. This workshop will focus on social and economic inequalities in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals and Global Challenges Research Fund. The aim of this cross faculty workshop is to explore the potential benefits and value of mapping and linking existing research networks aimed at reducing inequalities – for example, to develop critical mass, heighten the profile of such research or explore ways in which we might collectively engage with global development research opportunities and build capacity. It will also be an opportunity for participants to hear from academics who are conducting research on inequalities in developing countries including insights into the challenges and benefits of establishing international collaborations with external partners in low and middle income countries.
This workshop is being hosted by the Centre for Global Development, Cities, Inequalities Research Network and Leeds Social Sciences Institute
