Application and Award Process

Applications to be prepared in conjunction with your Faculty Research & Innovation Office (FRIO) who can assist with project costings and any processes that need to be addressed before your project can start.  Please ensure that sign off and costings from the FRIO are done in a timely manner and at least two weeks prior to the call deadline.

For all funding streams a letter of support must be submitted from your external partner detailing their engagement in the project.

There will be 3 open Calls for Proposals this year, submission dates for each call are below:

Please refer to the IAA Guidance & Documents.  The word and page limits as indicated on the application form should be adhered to, failure to do this may result in your application not progressing to the panel.  Completed forms should be submitted electronically to LSSI/IAA Manager, Cheryl Harris, c.a.harris@leeds.ac.uk.

IAA applications can be considered in conjunction with other IAA funding schemes at the University of Leeds such as the EPSRC, BBSRC and MRC IAA’s that are available at the University.  If you wish for your application to be considered for co-funding, please detail this on your application.
