Funding has become available for ESSL to offer two further Undergraduate Research & Leadership Scholarships to current first year students. This is a two-year scholarship that aims to give successful applicants the opportunity to participate actively, working with a research team in a supervised research environment on an individual research project relating to their degree subject and interests. It also aims to develop leadership skills.
Research Scholars will also become student ambassadors to the Faculty, contributing throughout their degree with ambassadorial duties such as attendance at School open days.
Two scholarships will be awarded in the Faculty and current first year students from the Schools of Law, Education, SSP and POLIS can apply. The Scholarships and projects will begin in summer 2010 and run over a period of two years, incorporating both summers, ending by February 2012.
