Recording of webinar: A Just Transition To Net Zero - Linking Leeds With DfT

Date

As the climate crisis looms largely behind the cost of living crisis, there is a need to take a people-centred approach to ensure a just transition. Our guest speaker, Professor Lucie Middlemiss from the School of Earth and Environment, presented approaches for understanding people’s different starting points, and their readiness to participate in the transition to net Zero.

In the second of this series of Linking Leeds with DfT webinars, this event was attended by over 60 policy makers and researchers.

Lucie discussed some initial findings from research in low-income communities that can inform DfT policy to help vulnerable households engage in Net Zero.  Participants were invited to pose questions about the research and what the findings showed.

Really engaging and thought provoking
